Trucks loaded with aid from Egypt have begun entering Gaza after the ceasefire began in Gaza.

In a video released by a foreign news agency, trucks carrying aid can be seen arriving in Gaza through the Rafah Crossing.

On the first day of the ceasefire, about 200 trucks carrying food, fuel, and other essential aid arrived in Gaza. Under the agreement, about 600 trucks will enter Gaza daily through the Rafah crossing, but until the crossing is repaired, these trucks will use the Karam Abu Salem border crossing.

The ceasefire comes after 15 months of the worst Israeli aggression, during which Gazans have suffered greatly. In a major development on the first day of the ceasefire, Hamas released three Israeli female prisoners, while Israel announced the release of 90 Palestinian prisoners. A Red Cross team is currently in Israeli prisons verifying the identities of Palestinian prisoners.

This start of relief activities after the ceasefire is a ray of hope for the people of Gaza, who have been suffering severe hardship for the past several months.

Prime Minister Netanyahu's coalition government is beginning to crumble after the resignation of Israel's far-right national security minister.

According to the international news agency, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's Minister of National Security, Ben-Governor, resigned from his position over the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

National Security Minister Ben-Governor opposed the ceasefire agreement at a cabinet meeting and refused to vote in favor of it.

Ben-Gwer had opposed the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails and the withdrawal of troops from Gaza's southern border with Egypt.

Before resigning, he said that the ceasefire agreement was a reckless move that would turn all of Israel's achievements into failures.

The resigned minister used his influence to encourage Netanyahu to advance the war in Gaza.

Recently, Ben-Governor expressed pride in having blocked past ceasefire efforts.

Ben-Gwer also visited and prayed in parts of Al-Aqsa Mosque where Jews are prohibited from entering.

It is increasingly likely that other right-wing ministers will also leave Netanyahu's coalition government.

The resignation of the Minister of National Security does not threaten the Gaza ceasefire agreement, but the government unity has been weakened.

Prime Minister Netanyahu could lose his parliamentary majority, potentially forcing early elections.

It should be remembered that despite 5 elections in 4 years in Israel, no prime minister has been able to secure a majority.

Netanyahu's government is also indebted to his allies, and it seems that the countdown to Netanyahu's being out of power again has begun.

Hamas handed over three female Israeli hostages to the Red Cross, in compliance with the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

According to the international news agency, the Gaza ceasefire agreement was supposed to be implemented today, but Israel did not stop its aggression until the last moment.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu continued his attacks, using the excuse of not releasing the names of the Israeli hostages released by Hamas today.

In the latest development, Hamas released the names of three Israeli hostages and handed them over to the Red Cross.

Earlier, the Israeli government also confirmed that it had received the names of three hostages from Hamas who were being released.

The Israeli government has announced that the Gaza ceasefire has now officially begun to be implemented after receiving the list.

This image could not be found.

The list released by Hamas also includes the name of 24-year-old Rumi Gonen, who was detained at the Nova Festival on October 7, 2023.

In addition to Romy Gonen, two other women, Emily Damari and Doron Steinbrecher, are also among those released.

The Israeli government says the first phase of the ceasefire was originally scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. today, but was delayed due to Hamas' late release of the hostage list.

The Indian government has confirmed that 12 Indian citizens were killed during the Russia-Ukraine war.

According to the international news agency, Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said that 126 Indians were recruited into the Russian army.

The statement said that of these, 96 Indians have returned home, but so far 12 Indian soldiers have been killed fighting on the side of Russia.

The Indian Ministry of External Affairs statement further stated that 16 other Indians fighting on the Russian side are still missing. The Russian government is also not aware of them.

A spokesperson for the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said that two Indian citizens are still part of the Russian army and are involved in the war against Ukraine.

It should be remembered that a few days ago, an investigative report published in Indian newspapers revealed that most Indians were forced or coerced into fighting.

These reports stated that these Indians were employed in the Russian army as cashiers, cooks, or other civilian workers.

However, as soon as the war in Ukraine began, these Indians were also forcibly sent to the battlefield.

In addition, some Indians were sent to Russia by travel agents under the pretext of labor and other jobs, where they were recruited into the army.

However, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs has not yet said anything about the investigation conducted in this regard.

2014

The Israeli military has found the remains of a colleague who was kidnapped and killed by Hamas in 2014 during a recent covert operation in Gaza.

According to Israeli media, the army, Shin Bet agency, and naval commando units participated in this secret military operation that took place late at night.

The soldier's body was brought back to Israel and examined at the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute, where the body was identified as Staff Sergeant Oron Shaul.

Arun Shaul was taken hostage by Hamas in a 2014 clash and allegedly later killed.

The search is also ongoing for the body of another soldier, Heder Golden, who went missing in the same clash with Hamas.

It should be remembered that this clash took place on July 20, 2014, which is known in Israel as Operation Protective Edge.

A squad from the 13th Battalion of the Golani Brigade entered an armored vehicle for a military operation in the Shejaiya neighborhood of Gaza City.

However, the vehicle got stuck in a narrow alley and was attacked by Hamas with anti-tank missiles, killing seven soldiers.

Hamas took the bodies of killed Israeli soldiers and weapons with them.

For the past ten years, families of slain military personnel have been protesting against the Israeli government for the return of their bodies.

It should be noted that the body of the Israeli soldier was found after a ceasefire agreement was reached between Hamas and Israel.

Hamas will release 34 Israeli hostages, most of whom are women and elderly hostages.

On October 7 last year, Hamas attacked Israel, killing 1,500 Israelis and taking 251 hostages to Gaza.

Of these 251 hostages, Hamas released 109 under the initial ceasefire agreement, while the Israeli military rescued 8. The bodies of 40 were found and 94 are still being held.

Three of the hostages who died were killed by their own forces, while the rest were killed while trying to escape from captivity.

Hours before the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, the operations of Israeli forces occupying the West Bank intensified, while Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu ordered the Israeli army not to declare a ceasefire in Gaza until Hamas releases the names of the hostages.

Qatari broadcaster Al Jazeera Arabic reported in its latest updates that Israeli forces have intensified raids in cities and towns in the occupied West Bank.

Sources told Al Jazeera Arabic that Israeli forces in Nablus raided several areas, as well as the Grand Mosque located in Sharfi Market.

Israeli forces conducted raids in various areas and opened fire during the raids, but no arrests or injuries were reported.

According to the report, Israeli forces have also established new military posts in the Tamun area.

In another update, Al Jazeera Arabic reported that the Israeli army launched attacks on central and southern Gaza, with 4 raids carried out in the northern and western areas of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

According to the report, Palestinian media also reported an Israeli airstrike on a warehouse in the central city of Deir al-Balah, as well as in the southern town of Abasan, near the city of Khan Yunis. There were no immediate reports of casualties.

On the other hand, some time ago, a foreign news agency reported that Israeli forces had begun withdrawing from the Rafah areas.

According to a Reuters report, Israeli forces have begun withdrawing from the Rafah areas towards the Philadelphia Corridor, located along the border with Egypt and Gaza.

According to a Reuters report, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has ordered the Israeli military not to declare a ceasefire in Gaza until Hamas releases the names of the hostages.

A statement from the Prime Minister's Office said the prime minister has instructed the IDF that the ceasefire, which is scheduled to take effect at 8:30 a.m. local time, will not take effect until Israel receives the list of those released that Hamas has promised to provide.

On the other hand, Hamas reacted to the issue, saying that the delay in the list of hostages was due to technical problems.

According to Israeli media, Hamas has not yet released the list of three Israeli female hostages, and the scheduled ceasefire in Gaza has passed.

It should be noted that after 15 months of Israeli aggression, the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas will come into effect today, raising hopes of stopping the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.

After the Israeli cabinet ratified the ceasefire agreement, it confirmed in Gaza that the agreement would be fully implemented.

The Israeli Prime Minister's Office said that the government had also approved a plan to return the hostages, confirming that Israel, thanks to its firm stance, had come close to stopping the genocide of peace-seeking Palestinians.

In his first speech after the ceasefire agreement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, "We have changed the face of the Middle East. Our sisters and brothers are returning to their homes, and the majority of them are alive. All of this has been possible because of Israel's steadfast stance."

Netanyahu reiterated that the ceasefire agreement will not be implemented until the full list of hostages is handed over to Israel.

The Israeli prime minister added that the deal would not move forward until Israel received a list of the 33 hostages. He said that Israel reserves the right to resume fighting if necessary.

This ceasefire agreement is a significant effort to end months of bloodshed in Palestine, which could open up new possibilities for peace not only for Israel but also for the Middle East.

Washington:

US President-elect Donald Trump has made a significant announcement that he will give the Chinese app TikTok 90 days to avoid a potential ban after taking office on Monday.

"A 90-day extension is a move that is most likely to happen because it is appropriate. If I decide to do it, I will probably announce it on Monday," President Trump said in an interview with the US broadcaster.

TikTok, which is owned by China and popular with about half of Americans, is playing a vital role in driving small businesses and shaping online culture.

However, the US government has expressed national security concerns about this app, which has increased the chances of it being banned.

On Friday, TikTok issued a statement saying it would not shut down in the US until President Joe Biden's administration reassured companies like Apple and Google.

A spokesperson for the app said they would not face enforcement action if the ban goes into effect.

The ban has become more complicated after the Supreme Court unanimously upheld a law passed last year that gave TikTok until today to sever ties with its Chinese parent company, ByteDance, or close its U.S. operations.

NEW DELHI:

Former Bangladesh Prime Minister and Awami League leader Sheikh Hasina Wajid has said about the protests against her government in July last year and her move to India with her younger sister, "God saved us, otherwise there was no chance of escape this time."

According to Indian media reports, the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh, who is based in India, said in an audio statement released in Bengali that she is grateful to Allah for saving her from being killed.

Referring to past attacks on him, he said he believed that God had saved his life and that perhaps he would be asked to do something great.

Sheikh Hasina said that we escaped death by only 20 to 25 minutes. I understand the survival of August 21, the Kotali Para bomb attack, and August 5, 2024, there is a purpose of Allah in this and it is the grace of Allah, otherwise I had no chance of survival this time.

The 77-year-old leader of the Awami League accused her political opponents in Bangladesh of plotting to kill her in order to silence her voice.

The former prime minister, wanted in Bangladesh in corruption cases, said that the world has learned how his opponents conspired to kill him, but he should be safe and he is sure that God wants more work from him.

He said, "I am in great difficulty, I am without my country, my home, everything has turned to ashes."

It should be noted that Sheikh Hasina Wajid has been attacked in the past as well, including on August 21, 2004, when she was addressing a party rally as the opposition leader, where a grenade attack took place. However, she survived, but 24 people were killed.

Earlier in 2000, she was attacked when she was the Prime Minister and was scheduled to address a rally in Kotalipara Upazila, Gopalganj district, and the police recovered a 76-kg bomb 50 feet from the stage.

It should be noted that last year, the student-led People's Movement in Bangladesh held historic protests against her government, and as a result, she was forced to abandon her 16-year rule and flee the country on August 5 and settled in India, where she is still present.

Bangladeshi security forces had informed Sheikh Hasina Wajid to leave her official residence for 45 minutes because angry protesters were moving towards the Prime Minister's House and her life was also in danger.

Sheikh Hasina initially moved to a nearby military airbase and later flew to India on an Air Force plane with her sister Rehana Sheikh.

Shortly after the former prime minister left his official residence, angry protesters stormed the prime minister's residence and set fire to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's museum.

An interim government has been established in Bangladesh under the leadership of Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus, which is supported by the country's armed forces, and the interim government had demanded that India send Sheikh Hasina back to Bangladesh.

The Pakistan Navy has surpassed India in Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) technology, and this lead is likely to increase further.

The Pakistan Navy has surpassed the Indian Navy in advanced Air Independent Propulsion (AIP) technology, while Chinese-built Hangur-class submarines are set to join the Pakistan Navy fleet as per the scheduled schedule.

The Indian Navy recently inducted a stealth frigate and a guided missile destroyer submarine into the fleet, along with the sixth and final submarine under the P-75 Scorpene project.

Even after this submarine joined the Indian Navy's fleet, India is lagging behind because the Indian Navy does not yet have any submarines equipped with modern technology.

In contrast, the Pakistan Navy already has three French-built Agosta-90B submarines (PNS Khalid, Saad, and Hamza).

According to reports, Chinese Hangor-class submarines will join the Pakistan Navy in the early 2030s. After the induction of these submarines, the number of submarines equipped with AIP technology in the Pakistan Navy will increase to 11.

Media reports have stated that the Pakistan Navy is competing with India's power ship by ship.

The Pakistan Navy plans to expand its fleet to 50 warships, including 20 large warships, frigates, and corvettes. Along with this, the Pakistan Navy is also developing a robust submarine fleet consisting of 11 submarines.

Pakistan Navy Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf told Chinese media that the construction of four Hangur-class submarines is progressing as per the schedule. He said that these submarines will significantly enhance Pakistan's naval capabilities, which will then provide the navy with the ability to carry out various operations with powerful weapons.

Admiral Ashraf added, "This project is progressing as per the set schedule and we expect these submarines to soon become part of the Pakistan Navy fleet."

NIGER:

An explosion after an oil tanker overturned in northern Nigeria killed 70 people and injured many more.

According to a foreign news agency report, Nigeria's Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said in a statement that a tanker loaded with gasoline overturned in the Niger State region, causing oil to spill and an explosion.

The National Emergency Management Authority said in a statement that according to reports received so far, 70 bodies have been recovered, 56 people have been injured and more than 15 shops have been destroyed.

The statement said that the injured have been shifted to the hospital for treatment and that rescue operations are underway at the scene and bodies are being recovered.

The FRSC sector commander for Niger State, Kumar Tsokowam, said that the majority of the dead were people who had come to collect the spilled oil after the tanker overturned.

He said that despite every attempt to stop the citizens, a large number of people had gathered to collect the oil, and in such a situation, there was a sudden explosion and flames rose and engulfed the second tanker.

Sector Commander Kumar Tsukwam had initially said that 60 bodies have been recovered so far and firefighters have managed to control the fire.

It should be noted that in October, a similar explosion occurred in Jigawa state, where 147 people were killed and it was described as one of the worst accidents to occur in African countries.

Such tragic accidents have become common in Nigeria, the largest oil-producing country in Africa, where people are living below the poverty line due to inflation, and dozens of people lose their lives in such accidents.

Despite being rich in oil, petrol prices in Nigeria have risen by 400% since President Bola Tinubu took office in May 2023, ending years of subsidies.

Balogi Ibrahim, a spokesman for the governor of Niger State, said that when petrol tanker accidents occur, the first priority should be the safety of citizens.

NEW DELHI:

A clash broke out between farmers from both countries near a Border Security Force (BSF) check post on the India-Bangladesh border after a bitter dispute.

According to Indian media reports, bitter words were exchanged between farmers from both countries on the India-Bangladesh border on Saturday morning, followed by a clash, however, the paramilitary force said that the situation has been brought under control.

The clash between farmers from both countries took place at the same point on the border where India is erecting a fence, however, the BGB has declared the said area as Bangladeshi territory, after which the work was stopped from January 6, while as a result of negotiations, work on the fence was resumed the next day.

The BSF said in a statement that after the clash between the farmers, concrete steps have been taken to normalize the situation with the intervention of the BSF and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).

According to a BSF statement, the clash between farmers took place near the Sikdevpur border at 11:45 am, when Indian farmers working near the international border alleged that Bangladeshi farmers were stealing crops.

Regarding the clash, it was reported that the exchange of words quickly turned into a brawl and a large number of farmers gathered on both sides and pelted stones at each other.

The Indian paramilitary force said that the timely intervention of BSF and BGB officials brought the situation under control and the farmers from both countries were dispersed and sent towards their respective borders.

There were no reports of casualties or injuries in the fight between farmers from India and Bangladesh.

The report said that after the matter was resolved, a few people had gathered 50 to 75 meters away from the border on the Bangladesh side in the afternoon, but the BGB dispersed them to prevent further tension.

It should be noted that the new interim government formed in Bangladesh after the fall of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wajid's government does not have the same ideal relations with India as in the past and has also demanded the return of Sheikh Hasina Wajid from India.

The clashes between farmers from both countries on the border have taken place amid a dispute between the BGB and BSF over the installation of a fence by India.

At least 39 people have been killed in violent attacks by left-wing guerrillas near Colombia's troubled border with Venezuela.

According to a foreign news agency report, officials said that the government has been forced to suspend high-level peace talks with the group involved after the guerrilla operations.

President Gustavo Petro halted already troubled peace talks with the National Liberation Army, accusing it of war crimes amid a fresh wave of unrest.

In two separate incidents, National Liberation Army fighters targeted a rival leftist group and a powerful paramilitary criminal gang, dashing hopes that the group would surrender voluntarily.

At least 30 people were killed and 20 injured when National Liberation Army fighters targeted dissident members of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) in several villages and farms, according to the Northeastern Colombian department of the department of North Esencia.

Nine people were killed in the nearby department of Bolivar, in the North Ascension, officials said, as gunmen went door-to-door searching for people affiliated with a rival gang.

The department's governor said the violent incidents began on Thursday and were caused by a territorial dispute linked to the cocaine trade.

Armed groups have been fighting for decades for control of the highly profitable coca plantations, which are located along the Colombia-Venezuela border and fuel cocaine use around the world.
