The accountability court has announced the verdict in the 190 million pound case, in which Imran Khan was sentenced to 14 years in prison and Bushra Bibi to 7 years in prison.

A hearing of the 190 million pound case against PTI founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi was held in Adiala Jail, in which court judge Nasir Javed Rana delivered a reserved verdict.

Earlier, Accountability Court Judge Nasir Javed Rana arrived at Adiala Jail to deliver the verdict in the 190 million pound case against Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi.

On the occasion of the hearing of the important case, the founding chairman of PTI Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi also reached the court. Earlier, 3 members of the NAB prosecution team Irfan Ahmed, Sohail Arif, and Owais Arshad were to reach Adiala Jail, while the daughter and son-in-law of the accused Bushra Bibi had also reached the court. Similarly, the sister of the founder of PTI, Aleema Khan, also reached the jail court.


Media representatives were also called for the hearing. On this occasion, very strict security arrangements were made outside the jail. Elite commandos were also part of the security outside the jail. The police removed the wall of Adiala Jail and all the vehicles parked in front of it on the occasion of the hearing of an important case.

If justice had been served, the founder of PTI would have been acquitted, Barrister Gohar

Before the verdict of the 190 million pounds case was announced, PTI leader Shoaib Shaheen and Barrister Gohar also reached Adiala Jail. Speaking to media representatives on this occasion, Chairman PTI Barrister Gohar said that the verdict of the 190 million pounds case will not be postponed today, we have come prepared. We have come to hear the verdict, whatever the verdict may be.

He said, "You can imagine the kind of abuses we have been subjected to for the past 2 years. If justice had been served, the founder of PTI would have been acquitted from Adiala Jail."


I was not allowed to go to court, Salman Akram Raja

Talking to the media outside Adiala Jail, PTI founder's lawyer Salman Akram Raja said that I was not allowed to go inside the jail court. Our legal team is present in the jail court. We have no fear or apprehension from this decision.

He said that despite my name being there, I was not allowed inside. Barrister Gohar, Ali Zafar, Salman Safdar are inside. Whatever the decision is, we have no good hope. We will fight it in the courts. All matters are going on. The founder of PTI has not backed down, he is firm on his principled stand. We will not back down, whatever happens will be according to law and principles. The struggle will continue.

It should be noted that the verdict in the 190 million pound corruption reference has been reserved for the past 30 days and has been postponed 4 times. The court had also ordered Bushra Bibi to appear in the jail court for the verdict today, while Imran Khan was also ordered to appear at 11 am.

The accountability court completed the hearing of the 190 million pound reference and reserved it on December 18. After that, the date for pronouncing the verdict was first given on December 23, then January 6, then January 13, and then January 17.

A total of 35 witnesses were presented in the reference hearing and 24 witnesses were dropped. The 6 accused in the reference, Barrister Shahzad Akbar, Zulfi Bukhari, and Farhat Shahzadi Gogi, are declared absconders.

The reference alleged that the national exchequer was damaged by adjusting the corruption amount to the fine of a private housing society. The case alleges that the federal cabinet was forced to obtain approval by concealing the facts.
