Khawaja Tareef Gulshan alias Teefi Butt was killed in an alleged police encounter at CCD Rahim Yar Khan.
Sources said that Tefi Butt was being transferred to Lahore. Tefi Butt was rescued from the police by his accomplices in the Kot Sabzal Sadiqabad police station area and escaped.
According to the police, an attempt was made to free Tefi Butt from his accomplices, during which Tefi Butt was killed by his own accomplices.
Tefi Butt's body was moved to the morgue, and a heavy police presence was present at the scene.
A case was registered in Rahim Yar Khan for the escape of Tefi Butt with his accomplices. The case was registered on the complaint of DSP CCD Model Town Lahore Syed Hussain Haider.
According to the FIR, the suspects in two vehicles opened fire while they were taking Tefi Butt to Lahore after he was arrested.
A police constable, Noor, was injured in the shooting. The suspects put Tefi Butt in handcuffs and got into their car and fled.
