Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Muhammad Ali Randhawa visited the Constitution Highway, Margalla Avenue and Serena Chowk Interchange project in detail and reviewed the development works. During this, he gave important instructions regarding the completion of various projects.
Muhammad Ali Randhawa inspected the ongoing construction work on the Margalla Road Secretariat to Bari Imam section and directed the MPO Directorate to complete the work immediately.
He said that beautiful landscaping should be done along the roads and flowers should be plantd on green belts and median strips to improve public aesthetics. The Chairman CDA also directed to install modern and beautiful lights on the Secretariat to Bari Imam Margalla Road.
During the visit, the Chairman also reviewed the beautification project of the Constitution Highway. He stressed that the work on the installation of decorative lights on the Constitution Highway on a permanent basis should be expedited so as to not only reduce electricity costs but also increase the assets of the CDA.
The CDA Chairman also inspected the completed sections of the Serena Interchange project and directed that the Suhrawardy Underpass and its associated slip roads be completed and opened for traffic tomorrow. He said that both the underpasses of the Srinagar Highway will be opened for traffic this month.
In addition, Muhammad Ali Randhawa also reviewed the construction activities on parts of the Jinnah Avenue Interchange project and directed to complete the structural work of the flyover at the earliest.
He also directed to prepare the best design for landscaping work around the project.
The Chairman CDA asked the consultants and resident engineers to expedite construction activities while maintaining quality so that all projects are completed on time.
