In a joint operation in Karachi, police and intelligence agencies arrested a commander of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

According to a Karachi police spokesperson, a police party of the Sensitive Areas and Anti-Street Crime Cell Kemari arrested Allah Khan, a key commander of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, from the Ittehad Town area during a joint operation on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday. They recovered weapons, mobile phones, cash and other important documents. The arrested suspect is trained and has been involved in various serious crimes including racketeering, murder, attempted murder of various political and business figures. The investigation of the arrested suspect is ongoing and important revelations are expected.

In another operation, a police party of the Anti-Street Crime Cell arrested a robber after an alleged encounter. On the intervening night of Thursday and Friday, an accused was arrested in an injured condition after an alleged encounter near the Baldia Abidabad Cemetery in Ittehad Town. The injured accused was shifted to the Civil Hospital.

According to a Karachi police spokesperson, the arrested suspect in an injured condition was identified as 28-year-old Yasin Mehsud, son of Mateen. A pistol with bullets, 4 mobile phones, cash and a motorcycle were recovered from the arrested suspect. The arrested suspect is a highly wanted suspect by District Kemari Police in street crime and several robberies.
