Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh by five wickets in the first One-Day International.


According to the details, the winning team achieved the target of 222 runs with 17 balls to spare for the loss of five wickets.


Rehmanullah Gurbaz and Rehmat Shah scored 50 runs each, while Azmatullah Umarzai scored 40 runs. Hashmatullah Shahidi scored an unbeaten 33 runs.


Tanzeem Hassan took three wickets for Bangladesh.


Earlier, after winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Bangladesh team was bowled out for 221 runs in 48.5 overs.


Captain Mehdi Hassan Miraz scored 60 and Tohid Haridway scored 56. They shared a partnership of 101 for the fourth wicket.


For Afghanistan, Azmatullah Omarzai and Rashid Khan dismissed three players each.
