US President Donald Trump announced the peace agreement between Hamas and Israel on social media, saying it was a major step towards lasting peace in the Middle East.

According to President Trump, the agreement will see the early release of all hostages and ensure fair treatment of all parties.

The historic peace agreement reached between the Palestinian resistance organization Hamas and Israel includes key points such as a permanent ceasefire, the exchange of hostages and prisoners, the reconstruction of Gaza, and the provision of humanitarian and commercial aid.

On this occasion, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also called the agreement his "political, moral and national victory" and expressed special thanks to the US President.

On the other hand, Hamas has demanded that the agreement's guarantor countries, the United States, Turkey, Qatar and Egypt, force Israel to strictly implement all the provisions of the agreement. The organization says that until the parties honestly adhere to the terms, real peace is not possible.

According to US media, the first phase of the deal is expected to see the exchange of Israeli and Palestinian prisoners begin on Saturday or Sunday. However, President Trump said in his latest statement that the process of releasing the hostages is expected to begin on Monday.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres welcomed the agreement, saying that the prisoner exchange should be carried out in a dignified manner and that there should be no delays in the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza. According to him, the implementation of this agreement can guarantee lasting peace in the region.

It should be remembered that this agreement was reached yesterday in the Egyptian tourist city of Sharm el-Sheikh under the auspices of the United States, Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt, which is being described as a historic development on the global stage.
