Islamabad:
Ijazul Haq, a member of the government negotiation team, says that two sessions of negotiations have been held so far and a third session is to be held.
Before the third meeting, the team had set a condition for meeting with Imran Khan that the meeting be held in an open place, after which the meeting has not taken place yet.
Speaking on Express News' program Center Stage, he said that people were not expecting the press conference that came out suddenly. He thought the press conference was very tough. I think it worsened the atmosphere a little, but hopefully now that the speaker has returned, a meeting can be arranged in a few days.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Ali Muhammad Khan said that the meeting is necessary because if we want to take the negotiations forward, then talking to the top leadership is necessary. Without it, it is like having a prescription but how can you get a prescription without a doctor's prescription?
To a question, he said, "I agree with you to the extent that those who are committee members should be more careful in public discourse. The rest are people like me who are sitting outside or are somewhere else, so even if they say a few things, don't mind too much."
