It has been revealed that Indian cricketer Rinku Singh was threatened with an extortion of Rs 5 crore by the underworld.
According to the Mumbai Crime Branch, a gang sent extortion slips to Rinku Singh three times between February and April this year, asking her to pay Rs 5 crore.
In this regard, the police have also arrested two people, named Dilshad and Naveed, both of whom were hiding in the West Indies and were handed over to Indian authorities on August 1.
He was also arrested earlier for demanding Rs 100 million as extortion from Zeeshan Siddiqui, son of late MLA Baba Siddiqui.
During the investigation, one of the accused confessed to personally calling Rinku Singh and demanding extortion.
