Lahore:
The FIA has registered cases against journalist Imran Riaz, PTI leader Shahbaz Gul and five other accused for sharing fake photos of Maryam Nawaz and the UAE President, and arrested two of them.
According to Express News, the FIA Cyber Crime Wing has registered cases against Imran Riaz Khan, Shahbaz Gul and five other accused for sharing fake photos created by AI of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and the President of the UAE.
A case was registered against Shahbaz Gul and Imran Riaz in FIA Cyber Crime Lahore, case number 13/25 has been registered under various sections of the PECA Act 2016, while cases were also registered against three accused Amir Abbas, Ijaz and Nadeem Javed in Multan and Faisalabad. Amir Abbas and Ijaz have been arrested, while one accused is yet to be arrested.
According to FIA officials, the suspects are accused of sharing AI-generated photos of important domestic and foreign figures.
