The Prime Minister’s Political Advisor Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that the Charter of Demands presented by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) negotiating committee to the government’s committee is nothing but lies and propaganda.
The Prime Minister's Political Advisor Rana Sanaullah Khan, while holding a press conference in Islamabad, said that a meeting of the government and opposition committees was held today. Today, the PTI gave a charter of demands. The charter of demands was released to the media before being given to us.
He said that this is my opinion, the committee will answer it, the Prime Minister has formed a committee consisting of all allies, the committee will prepare an effective response, the response we present will be the final answer.
He said that his first two basic demands, which are not included in this, were that our mandate be returned, and he has withdrawn from this demand. The second demand was that all cases are political in nature. He did not give the name of any worker or the FIR number.
Rana Sanaullah said that the Supreme Court has already taken action on the May 9 arrest issue. The famous Good to CU case took place in this case. The Chief Justice had taken notice of this matter. This is a closed case. What will happen now? All these cases are under anti-terrorism.
He said that the houses that were set on fire in the cantonment area have been decided in the military court. The commission does not have the mandate to play any role in cases where a decision has been made in the court. The commission cannot do anything in cases that are under hearing in the courts.
He said that this propaganda started from 20 in the past month and went into the hundreds of thousands. He said that so many people were killed, they should have given the names of these people in this document.
The Prime Minister's advisor said that we would give our position on this matter, whether it was a denial or confirmation, but in two and a half months they could not find out which people were killed or injured.
He said that if as many people were missing as they are saying, their families would be sitting in the square. Even after 2 months, if they are unable to provide the names of the dead and injured, then this is nothing but lies and propaganda. We had demanded this list from them and they had promised to provide it.
