A significant change has been made regarding the inauguration ceremony of US President-elect Donald Trump on January 20. The ceremony, which was previously scheduled to be held in the open field of Congress, will now be held in the Rotunda area inside the Congressional Building.
The rotunda area can accommodate approximately 300 to 800 people, seated or standing, while the president-elect has invited approximately 25,000 distinguished guests to the event. In addition, invitations have been issued to millions of Trump supporters for the event.
In light of this situation, the Secret Service has tightened security measures, and seating arrangements are also being changed. President Trump has issued orders to hold the swearing-in ceremony inside the Congressional Building to avoid the effects of the severe cold.
The decision was made because temperatures in Washington are forecast to drop below minus 12 degrees Celsius on January 20.
Following the swearing-in ceremony for the President and Vice President, a special Victory Ceremony will be held at the Capital One Arena, where a thank-you ceremony will be held on large screens to thank the attendees and supporters. The event will also include a grand welcome for distinguished guests.
This change will not only protect the event from the effects of the weather but will also ensure the provision of better facilities for guests and participants.
