Israel targeted Hamas leaders in the Qatari capital
The Qatari leadership has made it clear that the response to the Israeli airstrike will not be limited to Qatar alone, but will be a manifestation of the common policy and unity of the entire region.
According to the international news agency, a spokesman for the Qatari Foreign Ministry said in response to the Israeli attack that our response will be within the framework of international laws and diplomatic principles.
He further stated that the joint leadership of Arab and Islamic countries will determine a consensus strategy on future actions at the summit to be held in Doha on September 15.
According to sources, Qatar has immediately intensified diplomatic contacts at the global level following the Israeli action and has presented its position in major capitals, including the United Nations.
Pakistan has also strongly condemned the Israeli attack on Doha, calling it a clear violation of Qatar's sovereignty and international law.
Meanwhile, the United Nations Security Council has issued a unanimous statement condemning the attack on Qatar, but the statement did not name Israel. Britain and France were at the forefront in preparing the text.
The statement said that reducing tensions in the region and releasing prisoners should be the top priority, while strong support for Qatar's territorial integrity and sovereignty will continue.
According to diplomatic experts, Qatar has been playing a central role in the mediation process in the region and is advancing negotiation efforts in conjunction with Egypt and the United States.
