Robbers armed with modern weapons robbed a petrol pump in the Shahdara area and stole Rs. 4.2 million, CCTV footage of which has also surfaced.
CCTV footage showed the robbers assaulting the manager and employees of the petrol pump at gunpoint and forcing them to sit on the ground. The patrolling police were absent during the incident.
During the incident, one robber broke the safe with a hammer, while two robbers pointed weapons at the employees. After the incident, the robbers, dressed in shalwar kameez, fled on a motorcycle with guns in their hands.
The robbers stole 4.2 million in cash and 4 mobile phones. Despite the clear faces, the police have not yet been able to catch the robbers.
The police registered a case of the incident on the complaint of cashier Aamir Mughal and started searching for the robbers. Police officials say that the robbers are being searched with the help of cameras, some of the cameras of Safe City are faulty.
