Following Israel's security cabinet, the government has also ratified the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

According to a statement released by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office on Friday, the security cabinet had recommended the government accept the ceasefire agreement. A full cabinet meeting was then called for Saturday morning, where the agreement was given final approval.

According to a foreign news agency, the Israeli government has approved a ceasefire agreement with Hamas and ratified the plan to release the hostages. According to a statement issued by Prime Minister Netanyahu's office, the agreement will take effect on Sunday.

Under the agreement, Israeli hostages held by Hamas will be released, while Israel will release Palestinian women and children.

Media reports also suggest that US President-elect Donald Trump's envoy pressured the Israeli government to approve the agreement. Earlier, the Israeli prime minister was seen backing away from the agreement when he baselessly accused Hamas of violating the agreement.

According to foreign media reports, photos of 33 Israelis released from Hamas captivity have been released, while on the other hand, the names of 95 Palestinians released from Israeli captivity have also been released.

It should be noted that the ceasefire and hostage exchange agreement will take effect tomorrow. Although some hardliners in the Israeli cabinet opposed the agreement, the agreement was reached through the efforts of international mediators and the Israeli government has also approved it.
