Karachi:
Foreign currency worth millions of rupees, including thousands of dollars, was recovered in the FIA operation.
According to the spokesperson, the FIA State Bank Circle Karachi conducted a major operation and arrested the accused involved in illegal currency exchange and recovered foreign currency worth crores of rupees.
The arrested suspect was identified as Muhammad Haroon, who was arrested near the KMC Housing Society. The suspect is involved in foreign currency exchange, and 35,000 US dollars were recovered during the raid.
10,000 dirhams, 1,500 British pounds, 1,030 Saudi riyals, and 120,000 rupees were recovered from the suspect's possession. The arrested suspect is involved in currency exchange without a license and could not satisfy the authorities regarding the recovered currency.
The action against the accused was taken based on a tip-off. Authorities have registered a case and started an investigation.\
