Veteran artist Pankaj Kapoor, father of renowned Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, has made interesting revelations about his family background in a podcast interview.
In the interview, Pankaj Kapoor said that he belongs to the city of Hafizabad in Pakistan. Our grandfather was a government employee there, so there were often transfers from one city to another.
He added that despite the grandfather's transfers, our family originally belonged to Hafizabad, Pakistan, where the Kapoor family lived as a joint household.
Shahid Kapoor's father further said that his father was not only an excellent student at FC College in Lahore but was also a renowned writer, speaker, and magazine editor.
According to Pankaj Kapoor, during his student days in Lahore, his father was considered one of the most stylish and influential people of his time.
Shahid Kapoor's father said that our family came to India before the partition of India, but we did not suffer any hardship while we lived in Hafizabad.
