Hamas will never back down from the freedom, sovereignty and right of self-determination of its people
Gaza:
Following the signing of the initial phase of the proposed peace agreement with Israel, the Palestinian resistance organization Hamas has issued its first official response, calling on international guarantors to oblige Israel to fully and timely implement all provisions of the agreement.
Hamas said in a statement on social media that the agreement reached between the parties includes an end to the ongoing war in Gaza, the withdrawal of Israeli forces, the restoration of humanitarian aid, and the exchange of prisoners.
The organization appealed to the United States, Qatar, Egypt, Turkey and other international parties to prevent possible delays or reneging on promises by Israel and to monitor the process with full transparency.
In the statement, Hamas adopted a categorical stance, saying that we stand by our promises, but will never back down from the freedom, sovereignty, and right of self-determination of our people.
Prior to this development, Israel and Hamas signed the first phase of the US-proposed Gaza peace deal.
