Israel carried out several airstrikes in Lebanon's southern Sidon district on Saturday morning, the day after the ceasefire in Gaza came into effect.
According to the Arab Broadcasting Agency, the bombing took place in the area between Al-Musileh and Al-Najaria, targeting a showroom of bulldozers and excavators.
The bombings destroyed several vehicles and machinery. Initial reports indicate that one person was killed and five were injured. The attacks also damaged several electricity poles in the area, resulting in power outages in several places.
It should be remembered that yesterday, the Israeli army announced the entry into force of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, after which thousands of Palestinian citizens have started returning to their destroyed homes.
On the other hand, the Israeli army has begun taking up positions on the new borders under the agreement. US Special Representative for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, has said that the Israeli army has completed the first phase of the withdrawal, and a 72-hour period has begun for the release of the hostages.
