After continuous poor performances and defeats, the world's richest Indian Cricket Board (BCCI) began imposing unnecessary restrictions on players.

According to media reports, following the ban on family members, including wives and girlfriends, on foreign trips, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has formulated a new policy for senior cricketers, which has been made mandatory.

This policy will prohibit personal shoots or endorsements during players' overseas tours, while action will be taken against cricketers who fail to comply.

The BCCI has also made it mandatory for players selected under central contracts to play domestic matches, with exceptions only in exceptional circumstances. For this too, the cricketer will need formal notification and approval from the Chairman of the Selection Committee.

Players will be restricted from taking additional equipment with them on overseas trips, e.g. "personal staff (e.g., personal managers, chefs, assistants, and security), etc."

During the 45-day tour of the players, partners and children (under 18 years of age) will be allowed one visit for up to 2 weeks in each series. Similarly, the players are required to stay in one place, otherwise they will bear their own expenses.

Similarly, the Indian board can also deduct the retainer amount/match fee under the player contract, including the Indian Premier League (IPL), against those who do not comply.
