The cases of Bushra Bibi, Senator Shibli Faraz, and Provincial Assembly Speaker Babar Saleem Swati were heard in the High Court, in which the court provided security guarantees to all the petitioners.
Hearing on Bushra Bibi's application
A hearing was held on Bushra Bibi's application for details of the cases and protective bail, in which the petitioner's lawyer informed the court that Bushra Bibi was present in Islamabad for the appearance in the Tosha Khana II case.
Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim inquired whether an exemption application had been filed. Upon confirmation from the lawyer, the court granted Bushra Bibi a one-month protective bail and directed her to approach the relevant High Court for details of the cases.
Hearing on the applications of Shibli Faraz and Babar Saleem Swati
Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim and Justice Waqar Ahmed heard the applications for protective bail of Senator Shibli Faraz and Babar Saleem Swati. The court granted protective bail to both of them.
The Deputy Attorney General told the court that a case has been registered against Babar Saleem Swati in Islamabad. The court directed that other institutions also provide details of the cases.
Regarding Shibli Faraz, the lawyer told the court that he was removed from the negotiation committee due to several cases and has been facing appearances in various courts. The Chief Justice remarked that Shibli Faraz is a public representative and details of the cases registered against him should be provided. The court sought a report from the federal government.
