Karachi:

The Meteorological Department Early Warning Center predicted strong winds in the city.

The Meteorological Department said that there is a possibility of occasional strong winds in the city on Friday and Saturday. The intensity of the cold is expected to increase due to stronger than usual winds. The weather in the city is expected to remain cold and dry for the next several days.

The statement said that during this time, the minimum mercury may be recorded between 10 and 12 degrees. The weather is likely to be extremely cold in Larkana, Tharparkar and Umerkot. Fog may occur in the central and upper districts of the province at night and in the morning.

According to the Meteorological Department, a new westerly wind will enter Pakistan via Balochistan from January 18. There is currently no possibility of rain in Karachi under the westerly wind. After the westerly wind moves towards the upper regions of the country, the cold winds in the rear may head towards Karachi.

Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz said that under the influence of the new western system, cold and dry winds (cold wave) may affect Karachi in the last week of this month. As a result of cold and dry and slightly stronger than usual winds, the intensity of the cold is expected to increase.
