Trump took credit for the Gaza ceasefire agreement

Washington:

US President-elect Donald Trump has taken credit for the agreement to release Israeli hostages in Gaza, claiming that the agreement would not have been possible without his historic election victory in November.

Trump issued a statement on his social media platform 'Truth Social', saying that an agreement has been reached to release hostages in the Middle East and they will be freed soon.

In another message, Trump stressed that the November victory was a new beginning not only for him but for America and the world. He said that this historic victory laid the foundation for this agreement, and that he had achieved much before returning to the White House.

Trump's statement comes at a time when tensions in the Middle East are easing and international observers are calling the deal a major diplomatic success.

However, Trump's claim has sparked a new debate in political circles about whether this success is truly a result of his election results or whether other factors are also involved.
