Gadap Town police in Shahr-e-Quaid have raided a gutka manufacturing factory and recovered a large quantity of gutka and equipment used to manufacture it.
According to SSP Malir, Lieutenant Commander (retd) Kashif Aftab Abbasi, police raided a gutka factory near Gabolabad during an intelligence-based operation.
During the raid, the police arrested one accused Aqib and recovered gutka making machines, over 50 kg of ready-made gutka, chemicals used in gutka making, a generator, 2 digital forks, tobacco, 15 kg of khalia and packing material from his possession.
The gutka mawa recovered from the gutka mawa factory has been sent to a chemical examiner to test its quality.
SSP Malir said that the search for the other accomplices of the accused is ongoing and a case has been registered against the arrested accused and further investigation has been started.
