Evidence of the use of foreign weapons brought from Afghanistan on Pakistani soil has once again come to light.

Pakistan Army has been fighting against terrorism for the last 2 decades. Recently, there has been an increase in the incidents of terrorism in Pakistan from Afghan soil. Terrorists from Afghanistan try to infiltrate through Pak-Afghan border and target security forces as well as innocent civilians.

It is clear to all that terrorists have access to weapons left behind by the United States in Afghanistan. The provision of weapons to terrorists has caused significant damage to regional security.

According to the details of the operations carried out in this regard, on January 11, 2025, two separate intelligence-based operations were carried out in the Dosali district of North Waziristan and 6 Khawarij were killed while 2 were arrested.

Another intelligence-based operation was carried out in the Isham area of North Waziristan, where after a fierce exchange of fire, security forces killed 3 Khawarij and injured 2 others.

A large quantity of foreign weapons, ammunition and explosives, including AK-47, M4, Drangunov, were recovered from the terrorists' possession.

Similarly, on December 9, 2024, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Kalachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district on information about the presence of Khawarij, as a result of which 2 Khawarij were killed while one Khawarij was captured injured.

A large quantity of foreign weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the terrorists, including M16-A2, M4, and AK-47.

On November 10, 2024, 10 Khawarij were killed in North Waziristan district. Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Spin Wam area of North Waziristan and recovered a large quantity of foreign weapons, ammunition and explosives, including M16-A4, M4, AMV-65.

The smuggling of advanced foreign weapons from Afghanistan to Pakistan and the TTP's use of foreign weapons against security forces and the Pakistani people raise a huge question mark over the Afghan interim government's claims that they were not used against its own soil, Pakistan.

According to Euro-Asian Times, foreign-made weapons are also being used in TTP terrorist operations in Pakistan, while the Pentagon says that the US provided a total of 427,300 combat weapons to the Afghan army, of which 300,000 remained at the time of withdrawal. The US provided $18.6 billion in equipment to the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces between 2005 and August 2021.

This is why the region has seen a massive increase in terrorism over the past two years. After the US intervention, these weapons helped the TTP carry out cross-border terrorist attacks.

All these facts point to the fact that the Afghan interim government is not only arming the TTP but also providing safe passage for other terrorist organizations.
