In a case related to the jurisdiction of hearing under Article 191A, the Supreme Court has directed the Registrar Supreme Court to place the case before the same bench that heard the case on January 13, 2025.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Mansoor Ali Shah heard the case.
Justice Mansoor Ali Shah remarked that the Supreme Court office had made a mistake, the case was not fixed before the same three-member bench that heard the case on January 13, 2025.
Additional Attorney General Aamir Rehman said, "Give us some time." Justice Ayesha Malik said, "Let's wait until Monday first and then we'll see."
Justice Mansoor Ali Shah said in his remarks that the question in this case is whether a regular bench can decide on the jurisdiction of the hearing under Article 191A or not.
The court said in the order that the hearing of the case is adjourned until Monday. The last hearing was held on January 13, in which Justice Irfan Saadat was part of the bench. When the case was fixed again, Justice Aqeel Abbasi was part of the bench instead of Justice Irfan Saadat Khan.
The order directed the Registrar Supreme Court to place the case before the same bench that heard the case on January 13, 2025.
The Supreme Court adjourned the hearing of the case until 11:30 a.m. on Monday, January 20.
