Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has announced that he will play an active role in monitoring the ceasefire agreement reached between Israel and Hamas in Gaza.

According to Turkish media, in a speech at a gathering in Ankara, President Tayyip Erdogan said that God willing, Turkey will be part of the force monitoring the implementation of this agreement in the field.

He further said that Turkey will be part of an observer mission that will ensure the ceasefire and implementation of the conditions.

President Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey will fully cooperate in the reconstruction of Gaza, especially in terms of damaged infrastructure and humanitarian aid.

It should be remembered that Israel has repeatedly expressed its concerns about Turkey's relations with and support for Hamas in the past.

Under the new agreement, Hamas is to be disarmed and removed from power, in the context of which Turkey's role is considered sensitive.

It should be noted that Israel and Hamas have signed the initial phase of negotiations on Egypt's Trump's 20-point Gaza peace plan.

This initial phase will see a ceasefire in Gaza for a few days, during which aid supplies will be allowed to enter Gaza.

In addition, within 72 hours, Hamas will release all Israeli hostages, while in return, Israel will release Palestinian prisoners.
