A case related to the prices of bread and naan was heard in the Islamabad High Court, in which the court stopped the district administration from harassing bakers.
According to the details, President of the Nanbai Association Sajjad Abbasi and others appeared in the court during the hearing, while State Councilor Malik Abdul Rehman appeared on behalf of the administration.
Sajjad Abbasi said in court that despite the court order, tandoors are being sealed and fines are being imposed.
The State Council, while presenting its position, said that the district administration had held meetings with the bakers, to which Sajjad Abbasi said that the administration had not held any meetings with the bakers.
Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir expressed his anger at the district administration and directed them to take the court order themselves and give it to the Deputy Commissioner and Deputy Director Food. The justice further said that you give the order yourself and then I will look into it. Later, the court adjourned the hearing of the case.
