Islamabad:

25 more cases of dengue virus have been reported in the federal capital in the last 24 hours.


According to official data, 18 of the infected patients are from rural areas and 7 are from urban areas. Currently, 19 patients are undergoing treatment in various hospitals.


The report stated that the highest number of dengue cases, 6, have been reported in the Tarlai area of ​​the federal capital, after which the area has been declared high-risk and special measures have been initiated.


During the past few days, 44,636 preventive activities have been completed and the presence of dengue larvae has been identified at 28 locations and immediate action is being taken by declaring them as hotspots.


The report stated that as part of preventive measures, spraying campaigns have been completed in 1,684 residential areas, while large-scale fogging operations have also been completed in 2,585 locations.
