Renowned singer Jawad Ahmed got into trouble for allegedly arguing with a Lesco staff in a dispute over electricity theft from his wife's beauty parlor.
According to the report, the incident took place at the beauty parlor of singer Jawad Ahmed's wife in Johar Town, where LESCO staff had arrived to investigate electricity theft.
Singer Jawad Ahmed, his accomplice Adeel and four unidentified persons have been named in the application filed by Lesco at the Nawab Town police station. According to the application, Jawad Ahmed, who arrived at the scene, verbally abused and threatened the staff. It was further alleged that he tried to run over the staff with his car (Vigo Dala).
LESCO officials said that the beauty parlor's electricity meter was tampered with, with the aim of stealing electricity. The parlor's electricity has been disconnected to prevent illegal transmission of electricity.
The police have received the application and the matter is under investigation. LESCO has provided evidence and other details of the power theft to the higher authorities. No statement has been issued on the matter by Jawad Ahmed or his spokesperson yet.
