Quetta Gladiators suffer setback before PSL, franchise also confirms

Karachi:

Pakistan Super League's leading franchise Quetta Gladiators has suffered a setback as head coach Shane Watson has resigned from his duties in PSL 10.

According to a statement issued by the franchise, former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson's services will not be available for PSL 10, with the change in the league affecting his already long-term contract.

It should be noted that Quetta Gladiators won the PSL title for the first time under the presence of 43-year-old Shane Watson as a player, while after he took over as head coach, Quetta Gladiators managed to reach the play-off stage after four years.

Quetta Gladiators owner Nadeem Umar has said that the franchise will always remember Shane Wattens' services and contributions as a player and head coach.

Quetta Gladiators hold a prominent position in the world due to the superstars in their squad, with Shane Watson at the top.

Nadeem Umar also expressed his wishes for Shane Weston's future responsibilities. It should be noted that former Test captain Sarfaraz Ahmed had announced his farewell to Quetta Gladiators, ending his long association with them.
