An important meeting of the Judicial Commission was held on the issue of appointment of judges in the High Courts.
According to Express News, a meeting of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan, chaired by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi, was held at the Supreme Court, in which the issue of appointment of judges in high courts came under consideration.
The important meeting considered the issue of appointment of additional judges in the Islamabad and Balochistan High Courts. The Judicial Commission meeting considered the nominations of 4 additional judges for the Islamabad High Court.
Similarly, the matter of nominations of 3 additional judges for the Balochistan High Court was also under consideration.
