Islamabad:
The administrations of Islamabad and Rawalpindi have shut down internet services from 12 midnight.
According to the Ministry of Interior, internet service in the twin cities has been suspended indefinitely from 12 midnight and a notification has also been issued in this regard.
Citizens are facing difficulties due to the shutdown of mobile phone service.
Heavy police presence has also been deployed on all main highways connecting the twin cities.
Only one lane has been opened for traffic on the lower road of Islamabad Highway and Faizabad Flyover. There is heavy traffic jam on the service road due to obstructions on the main highways.
The traffic police have not been able to make the necessary arrangements for the convenience of citizens, and people going to schools and offices are also facing severe difficulties.
