Pakistan's Shayan Afridi performed well and made it to the finals of the ITF Asia 14.


According to an APP report, in the ITF semifinals, Shayan defeated the tournament's top seed, Matthew Tye of Singapore, in straight sets 7-6(0), 6-4 to secure his place in the final.

Prior to this victory, Shayan had put in a brilliant performance in the quarterfinals, defeating Jakosala Curls-John of the Philippines 4-6, 6-2, 7-5 after a tough match.

Earlier, Shayan had displayed exceptional skills in the pre-quarterfinals, defeating fourth seed Yudhiriya Atapattu of Sri Lanka 6-4, 7-5.

Shayan Afridi is a product of ACE Tennis Academy and Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) President Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi congratulated Shayan on her stellar performance.

Aisam-ul-Haq expressed confidence in Shayan's ability to repeat this success in the final and bring home the title for Pakistan.
