Lahore:
Group Editor Express Ayaz Khan says that KP has a troika consisting of three people: Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Ali Amin Gandapur, and the governor there, Faisal Karim Kundi. Coincidentally, all three are from the same area, Dera Ismail Khan. When politicians from the same area are involved, they have to keep the front warm.
Speaking on Express News' program Experts, he said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman is rightly demanding the release of political prisoners.
Analyst Faisal Hussain said that the point is that if we cannot read the writing on the wall, then what can we say? Are we blind or ignorant? One of these two things is that it is now clearly written on the wall what is going on inside this country. If Imran Khan is not coming out of jail, you can be sure that he is not coming out of his own free will. There is no other issue.
Analyst Naveed Hussain said that the kind of suggestion given by Maulana Fazlur Rehman has demonstrated political maturity. In this program, I have repeatedly said that if you want to build trust, the first step is to release political prisoners. This suggestion came from Maulana Sahib. I believe that this suggestion should have come from the PPP and the PML-N.
Analyst Amir Ilyas Rana said that Imran Khan always makes choices, he is the captain and he sets the team up as he wishes. However, the matter is about negotiations. When the PTI gives the list tomorrow, the government, its members and the allied parties will all go together to the Prime Minister and say, "Yes, this is the list." In such a situation, it is a good development that negotiations are taking place.
Analyst Muhammad Ilyas said that all political parties agree that political prisoners should be released. The government has said that it will give a list of whom it recognizes as political prisoners and whom it does not recognize. This also includes the incident of May 9. If the name of the founder of PTI is also included in the list, will they also recognize him and talk about releasing him? All these things will have to be seen.
